Whilst there may be much to commend the theory of Capitalism, the practice of it is increasingly threatened, in part because of the excesses that are practiced, as well as the levels of pollution associated with some related activities, but the more significant threats emanate from the lack of sustainability of it.
When virtually every aspect of every resource available on the planet is exploited to the full, by a rapidly expanding population, the outcome is a lack of sustainability overall, and it remains a matter of gross deception for Capitalism to persist too far along the path of exploitation on a planet of finite resources.
